We aim to shift the paradigm from seeking opportunities elsewhere to creating them right here in our region, leveraging the unique natural and cultural wealth of the Mantiqueira Mountains.”

This course will equip them with the mindset, skills, and network to transform local challenges into viable business opportunities, with a constant focus on community well-being, environmental stewardship, and collaborative leadership.”

Beyond Grades: Our Merit-Based Selection Process
Content: “This is not about grades, but about potential. The selection process is designed to identify ‘out-of-the-box’ thinkers.”
Phase 1: Application & Creative Challenge
Application Form: Focuses on connection to region, perceived problems and opportunities, and passions.
Creative Challenge: Short (2-3 min) video/visual presentation responding to “Identify one thing in our community you’d like to improve and creatively explain a small way you could start solving it.” (Assesses problem identification, creativity, communication.)

Phase 2: Collaborative Problem-Solving Workshop
Half-day workshop for shortlisted candidates.
Work in small groups on a real-world local challenge, observed by facilitators. (Assesses teamwork, logical thinking, innovation, leadership potential.)
Phase 3: Final Selection
Based on the application, the creative challenge, and workshop performance.

Duration: 6 Months
Format: One weekly 3-hour meeting (classroom workshop, guest speaker, field project work).
